Before I was a blogger I was a blog follower. I was a researcher, a seeker of knowledge, tricks, ideas, inspiration and tips. I knew that the key to making my life easier was in knowledge. I knew that there was no reason for me to reinvent the wheel, but to seek this wisdom from others who were willing to share it. The internet is a great place to find that, so that’s exactly what I did.
Each one of these blogs has in some way helped me along my journey. Not always as a blogger, but as a Wife and Mother.
These are the blogs I sit down to read daily when my littles are asleep and it is quiet in my house. They have become my go to for information, ideas and inspiration.
I’ve had several people ask me what my favorite blogs are, and while this is just my favorite lifestyle blogs, they are usually the first ones I talk about with anyone.
I really don’t remember how I connected with Amy’s blog, but once I landed on her page I was hooked. I think I spent 3 days reading it from as early as I could get to the present. I read everything!
We both were not only homeschooling large families, but I found a place where someone knew what I was facing on a daily basis. A life overrun by boys, who kept me on my toes. Amy gave great advice on how to get it all done and keep your sanity.
I remember asking my husband to go to the Teach Them Diligently homeschool conference because I knew she was going to be speaking there. As I walked through the vendors, I would look for her. I really wanted to meet the woman who inspired me, I guess you could say I was a fangirl. When I finally found her, she was as nice as I knew she would be.
I knew she was someone I wanted to sit and have a cup of coffee with for a nice long chat. Amy is genuine, honest, and someone who you want to be friends with.
On Amy’s blog, you will not only find advice about Homeschooling, but about Mothering Large Families, Homemaking and being a Grieving Mother.
It was after we moved back to Indiana that I came across Ruth’s blog. Things were tight financially and I was struggling. I needed help. I needed someone who understood the struggle. I wanted to live well.
I remember googling those words “Living Well,” and the first thing that came up was Ruth’s blog. I sat and read everything she had about money management. I didn’t just find great tips about handling money, but on how to have a great home life.
Ruth’s blog has not only fabulous ideas about money, but food, home, and life in general.
Ruth is a best-selling author of 5 books. I’ve read How to Blog for Profit without Selling Your Soul, and I can’t wait to read the others.
Ruth also runs the Elite BlogAcademy. In my desire to have the best blog I could, I signed up this year. I’m working my way through the lessons, and I can tell you she is putting me through my paces, but I’m blogging with confidence. It has been worth the time and money, and a true blessing.
I came across Crystal’s blog when looking for places to teach me how to use coupons. I not only found that, but my go to place to find the best deals anywhere. She offers a great selection of printables. Her menu planning worksheets are my go to when menu planning.
Crystal is best-selling author. I’ve read her Say Goodbye to Survival Mode and loved it. I have her Money Making Mom sitting on my shelf of books to read.
On Crystal’s blog not only will you find great deals, but recipes, homeschooling, and money making advice.
I’ve also begun taking her 14 day courses about remaking my mornings and evenings. Her advice is not only sound but practical.
I’ve known April for about 10 years now. She is one of the neatest people I’ve ever met. Her creativity has helped her create works of art.
Being secure in who she is and what she has to offer the world, I’ve seen her grow through her blog and now into her business. I’m so proud of the woman she has become and grateful to call her friend.
While she hasn’t been posting on her blog as regularly as she used to, her business has been growing exponentially. Her shop has not only nifty prints but truly beautiful. I can see why she is becoming such a success so quickly.
On April’s blog you will not only find her shop, but inspiration for joy in the journey of the life you are blessed to live.
This is a recent find of mine. I had read through my favorite blogs and was wanting something more. I googled Christian Mommy Blogs and came across The Better Mom.
Ruth not only had the same goals as I did, but spoke to my heart of hearts, of wanting to be the best godly Mama I could be.
Here I found inspiration, ideas, love and hope for this Mama heart, who sometimes only sees the struggles. I found a place that was warm, like a cup of tea and blanket on a cool fall day while swinging on my porch. It was exactly what I needed.
Ruth has some great books that I will soon be adding to my must read shelf. I can’t wait to dig more into her blog and learn.
There are thousands of lifestyle blogs out there to read with fabulous advice, but these are my favorites. These fit the life I live RIGHT NOW! They are my go-to places when I’m needing advice or just a place to call home.
One of the best things I did was start following these blogs. I put my e-mail in that “annoying little box.” This made sure I was able to get the latest information as soon as it was published. So when you go check them out, please make sure to subscribe. Not only will they appreciate it, but I promise you won’t regret it. I know I haven’t.
What are your 5 must follow blogs? I’d love to know!
