Saturday Check in

Time to check in and let you know how I did this week. When you dream big and set really big goals, you don’t always make it, but you can get further than you imagine just by trying. I set a LOT of really big goals for myself on Monday. I didn’t do as well as I had hoped, but I tried and made some really great strides. I did somethings consistently that I’ve never done before and I feel it. I’m taking this a week at a time. Seeing what works and what does. Making changes as I go.Saturdays Check-in

Bedtime 10pm

This didn’t always happen, but the day after it did, I felt amazing! I was up by 5 am the next day and I accomplished so much more. I felt on top of the world. My kids noticed a difference in me. I noticed how much more I was able to get done and how much better I felt about myself. This is something I’m definitely going to keep doing.

Give up Soft Drinks and Sugar

This one didn’t go as well as planned. I DID completely give up soft drinks. Even when I was out of town, travelling to Nashville and back home, I didn’t have a soft drink. I did have some tea and coffee, BUT no COKE! That is a HUGE thing for me. To walk away from my go to drink, is a huge success. So as you can see I didn’t give up sugar, because I had it in my coffee and tea. I made a step in the right direction. I will continue with my no soft drinks and now have no sugary drinks. I’ve been chugging 120 ounces of water a day though. I started adding essential oils to my water on Thursday of 2 drops per 8 ounces. This has definitely given it a new flavor, but has also helped with other things.

Life Long Vitality

I’ve been taking half a recommended dosage. At first it felt really good, but then I started feeling tired again. This week I’m going to start taking the full dosage, half in the morning and half in the evening. These are still the only supplements that I don’t burp up from my stomach being upset. I was told that after taking them for about a month, I may need to start taking the full recommended amount.

Thriving

This has been great. I’m able to drink my shake for breakfast so I don’t have to worry about eating that meal. I’ve been adding THM collagen and my joints feel better. My hair is thicker. My teens have clearer skin. Yeah! Definitely something I’m going to keep doing.Eating Healthy

Trim Healthy Mama

I did eat some sugar and some off plan bread, ok, maybe a lot. So I really wasn’t on plan. My other meals were good and healthy. I really struggle in this area because my middle boys are on the Fiengold diet. There are things that I would easily be able to eat on THM that they can’t eat, mainly tomatoes. I’ve got a menu plan for the next 2 weeks that I plan on sharing on Monday. I think with having snacks on plan and food at my fingertips I will be better prepared to eat on plan.

Get Moving!

Now this is where I really succeeded. I either did the Youtube video every day or I walked. Friday was grocery shopping day and after walking through Ben’ Bargain Center, Aldi, GFS and Kroger, I was done for and considered it my walking for the day. At the end of the day I was beat. I’m not used to walking like this. My muscles ached, and even had to catch my breath at times. This is making progress and will get me where I need to be. A healthier me!

The results:

This is really hard to talk about, because I’m really ashamed of where I am with my weight. To confess this out to the world, on the internet, where it will never really go away…. WOW! It is in this effort to be accountable, genuine, honest and real that I confess this and share my journey with you.

When I weighed myself on Monday, I was 271 pounds. Today when I weighed myself I was down to 265 pounds. I’ve lost 7 pounds this week just from the changes I’ve made so far. This gives me courage to continue on down this path. So here is to another week or striving to eat healthy and exercise.
